I hope you are all well and keeping safe and WARM! I'd love to tell you about a very important and informative workshop we are hosting this Monday, January 25th at 6:00pm on Zoom. No need to go out in the cold...you can attend from the warmth of your home. It's about how to support your student through negative experiences and anxiety. Every individual may have a different reaction or stress response to divorce, loss of a loved one, etc., this workshop may help you in understanding.
Our presenter, Jane DiFortuna, RN and Trauma Outreach Coordinator for RUMC, is committed to raising awareness about the impact of stress and trauma on children and adolescents as a behavioral health concern. She will discuss the importance of noticing emotions and developing coping skills, as well as the importance of self-regulation.
