Attendance Matters

Please be aware that family vacations should be planned to coincide with the school calendar. If you are extending your weekend or attending sports tournament, please be mindful that teachers are not obligated to make prior arrangements for assignments, projects and other instructional activities involving work that has not yet been presented. There is also a possibility that your child will receive failing grades for that marking period due to insufficient attendance, which would also affect their final average for the school year. Help our Library Media Center

Please consider donating to this wonderful opportunity where they will MATCH any donation we receive - no donation is too small. If everyone donated one dollar and they matched it...wow...the things we could do in the Library Media Center. The Library Media Center is the learning hub for the school. Students are able to visit the library daily to select books, obtain research assistance and complete work. After finishing their work, students often need to print out documents because they don't have printers at home.Paper and ink are often unavailable to them at home to get classwork in on time. Along with content area teachers, I deliver information literacy lessons that address content area learning in Social Studies, Science, English Language Arts, Math, Drama, and Health. The items she is requesting will be housed in the Library Media Center for use by all students who are in need to complete reports, projects, and assignments. Materials will be organized and stored for easy use. Students are able to visit the Library Media Center to access these materials during a scheduled research class or during recess time.
